The Gift of Feeling Well
By Richard and Fay Kline
Voltaire said: “God gave us the gift of life. It’s up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well.” In order to live well, we have to feel well. For nearly 20 years, Cleveland Clinic Florida has been helping us do just that, in various ways, since we moved here from Virginia.
When Richard needed a brain shunt, Dr. Adada1 walked alongside him all the way to the operating room, then explained everything they were going to do. It was such a relief to know what was happening. Cleveland Clinic doctors are very caring. They don’t just give you a shot and say: “Next!”
When Fay brought some old mammograms from her previous care provider to Cleveland Clinic, they discovered she had stage 1 breast cancer. Dr. Stone2 got her through that and saved her a great deal of pain and anguish. We’re so thankful to Cleveland Clinic for finding something that had been missed before.
It’s wonderful to see Cleveland Clinic’s growth in Florida, and to benefit from it. It doesn’t matter which department you go to at Cleveland Clinic. You’re going to be treated better than you would at any other hospital. And your outcome is going to be better, too. Put it this way: If you fall, Cleveland Clinic is going to have a cushion under you before you touch the ground.
Richard and Fay Kline have three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
