A team led by retina specialist Rishi Singh, MD, uses a 3D visualization system to guide eye surgery. Since 1999, Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Institute has diagnosed, researched and treated conditions of the eye, including retinal detachments, macular degeneration, glaucoma and other complex cases. It was established with a $10 million gift from Jeffrey Cole and his company, Cole National Corporation. In 2016, Jeffrey Cole and his wife, Patricia, made an additional $31 million commitment to expand patient care and enhance research and education at the institute, which has unveiled plans for a future expansion.
