A worshipper prostrates himself in the Muslim Prayer Room, one of several designated sacred spaces on Cleveland Clinic’s main campus. Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca as they pray five times daily, and giving thanks for Allah’s blessings is a cornerstone of their spirituality. Across Cleveland Clinic’s global health system, all inpatient facilities have interfaith and nondenominational spaces open around the clock to people of all beliefs. They come to seek healing. To reflect. To find peace and strength. To listen for answers in the quiet stillness. And, indeed, to express gratitude.
