As Cpl. Eric Hudson guides pedestrians safely across crosswalks on Cleveland Clinic’s main campus, the beloved traffic control officer grooves to an R&B/hip-hop playlist on a portable speaker and gives quick pep talks to passersby. They’re grateful for him — and vice versa. “They lift me up, too,” he says. “With everything going on in the world right now, we need that positive energy.”
