The 1921 Society, which honors donors who have contributed $1 million or more to Cleveland Clinic, welcomed 162 new members at its latest induction dinner. “Your support empowers our mission — it allows us to dream bigger, to go farther and to get there faster,” Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer Lara A. Kalafatis told guests in historic Public Auditorium. Lars Svensson, MD, PhD, chief of the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute and holder of the Delos M. Cosgrove, MD, Chair for Heart Disease, received the Alfred and Norma Lerner Humanitarian Award. Lorie and Nick Howley and Cathey Lozick joined the elite ranks of Distinguished Fellows.
