More than 550 Cleveland Clinic Children’s supporters dressed in their horse-racing finery for the fifth annual Derby Day Soirée at the Huntington Convention Center. Presenting partners were the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Superstars, Fedeli Family Foundation and Scala Family Foundation. The event featured a viewing of the Kentucky Derby and heartfelt stories of how proceeds directly impact life-changing pediatric care and research. “The generosity of attendees and other community members ultimately helps us treat kids locally, nationally and internationally,” said Rita Pappas, MD, interim chief of Cleveland Clinic Children’s, “from the routine to the rare.”
