I invite you to see for yourself in this special issue of Cleveland Clinic Magazine. Rather than document a day in the life of Cleveland Clinic, we set out to chronicle a single minute on a single day — 10:10 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on October 10, 2024 — across our global health system. In real time, near and far, we saw our mission in action, again and again:

Through a unique system of tiered huddles, thousands of caregivers share information and insights that are filtered up through our organization in an orderly series of check-ins. By 11 a.m., when our executive team convenes the final huddle, we have a comprehensive view of Cleveland Clinic’s activities around the globe, encompassing everything from patient experience to safety metrics to operational challenges. This daily routine ensures that we deliver uniform excellence while embracing continuous improvement. 

Day after day, from moment to moment, countless acts of healing, discovery and human connection unfold. In hospitals and laboratories, in classrooms and community spaces, our caregivers work as one team while the story of Cleveland Clinic intersects with the stories of people who come to us from all walks of life. 

Some moments are dramatic. Other moments are quiet. But every moment has something to teach us, if we look closely enough.
