Le Hua, MD, (above) is the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Program at Cleveland Clinic’s Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, which opened in 2009 in Las Vegas. Amid the undulating contours of a stunning building (below) designed by celebrated architect Frank Gehry, caregivers provide diagnoses and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders. Philanthropist Larry Ruvo named the facility in honor of his father, who died of Alzheimer’s disease. The center is home to the new Nevada Exploratory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, funded with a grant from the National Institute on Aging at the National Institutes of Health.
