Cleveland Clinic Langston Hughes Community Health and Education Center opened in 2009 in Cleveland’s Fairfax neighborhood, just over a mile from Cleveland Clinic’s main campus. Housed in a former library built in the early 20th century by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, the bustling facility is dedicated to strengthening the community through exceptional healthcare. The Langston Hughes Center now offers primary care in addition to other services, including health assessments and screenings; exercise and wellness programs; tobacco cessation classes; and nutrition classes. All told, Cleveland Clinic’s Office of Government and Community Relations works alongside more than 200 community partners annually to promote the health and well-being of communities served by Cleveland Clinic by connecting residents with medical, social and economic resources.
